PIZZA!!!

My latest project...

PIZZA!!!

Who taught me?  Some lovely ladies who are a part of my Titus 2 group.

Titus 2:3 - 5 Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.

Cooking my pizza sauce...

Kneading my pizza dough...

Yummy cheese pizza!

Recipes:

Pizza Sauce:

2 T. olive oil

½ t. garlic powder
1 t. onion powder
2 t. brown sugar
1 t. parsley
1 t. oregano
1 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
1 bay leaf
2 – 15 oz. cans of tomato sauce
2 – 12 oz. cans of tomato paste
BOIL – then SIMMER FOR 30 MINUTES
REMOVE BAY LEAF

This recipe is perfect for my pizza inspectors (the girls).  No chunky things for them to pick through.  Also, it makes plenty to freeze for the next pizzas.

Pizza Crust:

In a large mixing bowl:
1 ¼ cups of all purpose flour
1 package of yeast
½ teaspoon salt

Add:
1 cup of warm water (120 – 130 degrees)
2 Tablespoons of olive oil

Beat with an electric mixer for:
30 seconds on LOW
3 minutes on HIGH

Mix in with a spoon:
1 cup of whole wheat flour

Turn dough out on floured surface:
½ cup of all purpose flour

*Knead for 6-8 minutes
*Divide dough in half
*Cover
*Let rest for 10 minutes
*Roll our crust on pizza pan and prebake at 425 degrees for 8 minutes.
*Put all toppings on crust and bake for additional 10 minutes (or until cheese is brown)

FYI:  Before the first baking, I brushed my dough with olive oil and sprinkled a little salt, garlic power and italian seasoning on top.

Snow Flakes

Can you see the detail in these flakes? I tried to make the picture as big as I could make it. The girls and I were outside and noticed that it looked like someone salted the snow. But, it wasn't salt, it was these huge perfect flakes of snow all over the ground. It was simply beautiful!

(Thank you Johnny.  Now everyone can see the Lord's work a little more clearly.)

I found these verses in Isaiah:

Isa 55:8 - 10 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts. "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater;

Praise the Lord for the rain and snow. Through it, He provides us with bread to eat.
Praise the Lord for bread also.

And how about these verses:

Rom 1:18 - 20 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

Looking at these beautiful snowflakes, how could you deny Him?

Blessings

Thank you, Mom for sending me this fabric.
It is my favorite.
Thank you, Dad for picking it out!
(Can you believe my Dad picked out this fabric for me?!)
The Lord never ceases to amaze me.

I made this skirt from the fabric. It is a wrap skirt. I could sew a string around it to tie, but then I would have a big bumpy bow. I thought about sewing a button on it, but I am not talented enough to sew a button hole. So, I decided to use diaper pins! I know you are laughing. But, you would have never guessed it! I knew I kept those for some reason!

Isn't this fabric lovely?

Birthday Party

Decorating for the party.

Crazy 8 year old...  Cari made her a birthday crown to wear.

A few of our neighbors came over to celebrate with us.

All the girls came by to have some oreo pie at 11:00.

Hannah was excited.  One of the packages that that was mailed got ripped open.  She was very excited to find some Chocolate Balls in there!  One of her favorites!

Cari was very excited to help make Hannah's cake.  Uncle Daniel and Aunt Stephanie sent Cari a package also with specific instructions.  Her job was to throw a party for Hannah.  The package was complete with all the plates, napkins, forks, cups, tablecloth, party blowers and headbands - plus a cake mix with icing!
Cari was very excited!!!

TA-DA The cake!

The party blowers and headbands.  They had a blast with these!

Hannah

Happy Birthday, my beautiful 8 year old girl!

I want to remember:

-your contagious laugh
-your creativity
-how you beg for more bacon for breakfast, because it’s your favorite
-your sweet smile in the mornings with squinty eyes
-how you love to hide and scare me, every time you have the opportunity
-how you fall asleep snuggled up to your sister
-your excitement when you learned how to run the washer and dryer
-your sweet sincere prayers
-how you hug me longer at night

You are a true gift to me.  I thank our Lord for allowing me to be your mommy.
I love you…. like craaaaaaaazy!
